Hi! Not really sure if this is the right sub, but if I search portable nas on Google, it shows posts from this sub. So, I am looking for a portable NAS, for road trips. Not looking for too much storage, but I want to be able to bring and use it on the road, accessing videos and files from an iPad 10th gen or an android phone or a laptop. So, something powered by a power bank will be nice. First thing that comes to mind is a raspberry pi setup, but if there are any off the shelf options, the ease of that will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

the are some models from the GL-INET travel routers that have usb 3.0 and sd cards slots for sharing, you can turn on the mini nas feature for traveling.

if you are more like DIY you can get a small raspberry pi with a external driver for sharing.

I appreciate all the replies, and I do plan on having a NAS at home that I can access from anywhere. But for now, I just want to have a portable NAS that I can access through phone, tablet, and laptop without using mobile data. So I think, the gl.inet + hard drive or RPi combo will do. Thanks!
