You guys used to be sky blue and white striped to symbolize being a port city just like my team Napoli and Como. What was the reason for changing it to garnet in the 1940s? What does garnet symbolize?

For real though why does it feel like every other post in this sub is about Salernitana
Apparently it was picked as the main color after WWII when football resumed in Italy.
It was one of the many color schemes used by the various incarnation of Salernitana throughout the complicated 1920s when the club went through some mergers.
Been annoyed at Juventus for the same thing. At least like this palermitani are happy
