Does the rest of Europe and the world dislike international breaks as much as we do in England ?

I was having this discussion with friends and I think it directly correlates with the quality of the league of your country.

For example Spain England Germany will dislike them as they would prefer to see their clubs playing , but for Croatia their national team is better than their club teams so they enjoy it.

I could be totally wrong so please let me know !

I’ve got a big emotion connection to England but international break is just tedious. The expectation is to top the qualifying group and recently we’ve been very good qualifiers so most games are confortable wins against nations that are much worse than us. Italy and Ukraine games are betters but we still won 3/4 of those.

Like this weekend is just pointless for England. We’re playing two teams who (no disrespect) we’re going to beat even with our B team and we’ve booked the top spot barring an infeasible goal difference swing. It doesn’t really give us anything in terms of prep except giving some players a run out for England like Cole Palmer.

I know I probably sound like a cocky England fan but it’s the truth for the last 15 years. Or maybe it’s because this summer is massive for England, we’re probably going into this tournament as favourites alongside France so I’m already sick of us winning games in anticipation of the inevitable knockout round loss.
