    i really dislike it when players do this. Whn you lie about being injured so you can play, it always leads to your performance being worse --> the entire team is affected coz we’re playing with 10,5 men instead of 11

    It’s a selfish thing to do.

      Sometimes it’s really grey area. Players often carry a knock while they play. And sometimes you might think you are ok and feel good but in reality a bit worse. And then you kind of lose track.

      Athletes at the top level tend to be extremely competitive and have strong egos, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing at that level. I wouldn’t call it selfish, in fact I’d say it adds to his character. Because despite not being 100% he has the self belief to perform and willingness to put the effort in. Rather than sit back and take a very comfortable paycheck.

      I’d much rather have work-horses like Ben White who give it their all than players from other clubs without that work ethic like half the Man Utd squad.
