Both myself and my parter are avid gamers.
All 4 kids are also gamers, but watch Netflix etc. too and with our current connection, all is fine.
Our main concern is that we both are remote workers and work from home, anything that throttled our internet connection would become unsustainable to us.
Some sites say that 70mbps is pushing it, but should be okay, others say it’s completely untangible
Any advice is greatly appreciated
Do you have any idea what bandwidth intensive tasks would your family do during your work hours?
70 Mbps is enough if you are not doing anything else like downloading or streaming at the same time as your work. But if your kids are watching Netflix on 3 different streams, it could hamper the actual bandwidth available to you.
Unless there is a huge price difference or you are moving somewhere where higher speed internet is not feasible, I’d try to maintain at least 150-200 Mbps just to be safe.
