His inclusion and a potential Mbappe transfer leaves them with these players in 2024:
- Endrick (17)
- Guler (18)
- Camavinga (20)
- Bellingham (20)
- Rodrygo (22)
- Vini Jr (23)
- Davies (23)
- Tchouameni (23)
- Mbappe (24)
- Valverde (25)
- Militao (25)
That is 11 of some of the best U-25 talents in world football. Many of these players are straight up Ballon D’or contenders as well as best in their position even at a young age.
Add in squad members like Ceballos (26), Brahim (24), Fran Garcia (23), and even players on loan/50% rights like Kubo (23), Reinier (21).
Is the squad Real Madrid building the best in the world and worthy for the title of ‘Galacticos’ in modern setting?
I like their strategy. Why wait until a player is established and you have to pay 100+ million for a him. That said, Mbappe is a once in a generation player, a worldwide superstar that will sell the Real Madrid brand for at least 8 years. So I would say that is a justified exception to their new strategy.

Another self-fellating Madrid fan post.
I don’t think the term Galacticos fit just since the OG galacticos were big names before they came to Real Madrid and it felt like they were assembling a super team, this current Real Madrid are just building a young team of top talent that they still need to develop for the most part. It’s a great team which I expect to be a force for many many years but like galacticos is a very specific term
I totally agree with you
How can you talk about Galacticos and being youngters?! Do you know what the Galacticos were?!
They may be set for the next 10 years if they also manage to get Mbappe, however I’m not sure where that would leave Vini
