Is this normal? I understand that you will lose some speed due to wireless connection I don’t currently have a ethernet to check speeds while wired, will check tomorrow. However the xfinity app says I’m getting 1400-1900mbps when I check

I’m using the xfinity router. Even the pc I have thats literally right next to the router is getting 300ish mbps.

300 Mbps for a wifi client is within the realm of reason. It depends on distance, your client’s capabilities, and spectrum quality.

Your best performance will be with a modern high-end client in the same room as the router while avoiding 2.4 GHz. At distance, 2.4 GHz is likely a better choice given its longer reach.

Also note that QoS settings can slow down clients for the sake of overall performance.

This is due to the physics of radio. You can’t buy your way out of physics.
