I have a question, I was watching Arsenal play Sevilla yesterday ( I know this is UCL) and when several Arsenal players got substituted (Saka, Martinelli?) noticed thier socks were shredded on the back of the calf. Is this down to shitty manufacturing or they being raked down their calf muscles all game (or a bit of both)?

They slit them on purpose to make them less tight
It’s not just Arsenal/that match - a lot of players cut them deliberately at the back to relieve pressure on the calf - not sure why the manufacturers haven’t capitalised on it yet!

What? Fix what? There is no issue with the socks. I’m so confused by your comment. Some players prefer them cut, that’s it. Personal preference
