What club signing made you pissed off that has or haven’t worked out
Gonçalo Ramos to PSG, we should’ve kept him for at least another year. Add to the fact that they were obviously planning to buy RKM and it was unlikely that he would get the time he needed.
Courtois to Real Madrid, yeah, he was great and won us a UCL final and saved us a lot, but when they got him with Navas in his prime, it was kinda stupid and they didn’t need him back in 2018
Everton signing the 104 year old Ashley Young
Eden hazard to Real Madrid 🙂
Kim Kallstrom to Arsenal, now don’t get me wrong he was quite a good player especially in his Lyon days but the signing just didn’t work, we had enough good players in his position so he was never gonna make a big impact at his advancing age and then to find out he had a bad back in the medical just made it even worse
To his credit he came up with a big moment, scoring a pen in a shootout which helped us eventually win an FA Cup that season, but it was signings like this which made the fans sceptical bout what Wenger was doing
Almost every signing we’ve made under Boehly.
A billion spent on so little quality
From a ManUtd supporter:
- Mount
- Van der Beek
- Amrabat
- Anthony
Back in the 90s Seth Johnson and Mark Draper went for big money, it would be equivalent to paying &75mil for someone like Sambi Lakonga today.
Solanke for £20mil before getting a game or goal for Liverpool seemed, and was crazy.
£30m plus for Iwobi to Everton seemed steep but he got better.
Man utd are the kings though £85m for Antony, £80m for Sancho £75m for Hooijland? Barely any goals btween them.
Danny Drinkwater to Chelsea for £35 million
Signing Arthur Melo on loan on deadline day when our midfield was falling apart
I’ve very rarely criticised Liverpools recruitment team but that was truly staggering
Paul Konchesky
Paulinho for Barça was really weird but he ended up having a very good season
Mason mount Donny van de beek Anthony Pogba Onanna Weghorst
Ousmane Dembele to Paris Saint Germain. PSG, good luck with the bills.
Andy Carrol to Liverpool for £35M…when that was still a lot of money.
