We attract the best players and managers from around the world but don’t do the same for refs. Then we wonder why the officiating is much worse than the quality of players and coaches. The quality of the playing would be way worse without foreigners and quality of refereeing would improve with foreigners.
Agree or disagree?
I think I’ve mentioned this before somewhere on this sub but I think across Europe all leagues would benefit from peer reviews… so say as an example a panel of German officials review a weekend of PL football and give their impartial advice on how they would have dealt with decisions etc and vice versa… English officials do similar in Germany.
Transparency among the reffing organisations, faith that PGMOL aren’t biased/on the take… And surely getting the insights from a different league has to be beneficial in improving how games are officiated
