I’m installing a new rack mounted switch and my existing runs are too short to reach it. My plan was to put a patch panel in the existing media cabinet that they terminate into (mostly for organization) and then extend the runs via keystone couplers and new cat6. I understand degradation will be minimal unless I’m pushing the specs, which I’m not. But is there a better way to do this?
The runs were installed when I moved in and unfortunately they don’t terminate in the most ideal spot imo.
