I was thinking about that with all the recent problems in the middle east and most of the german clubs clearly picking a side.

Could you stop supporting your club if the political position of your club is totally against yours ?

For me I would say that I could only reconsider my lifelong choice if it’s something really big that makes me think that it’s inhumane to support this or something like that.

    Yup, I’ve done it before and I’d do it again. I didn’t spend a second watching the Qatar WC and will be replicating that for the Saudi Arabia WC.

    Or you could just do what 99% of football fans do: support the club and hate the ownership.

    Well, as a Latin American I used to be a fan of a team in every major league in Europe when I was a kid, but only Liverpool stuck with me because I kept identifying myself with it on that level as I grew up, I just vibed with it naturally.

    Real Madrid for instance, on the other hand, represents the opposite of everything I stand for… So without really realising I started to grow a dislike for it and nowadays I can’t really stand anything related to that club.

    I was born in a hospital 2 minutes away from st James park. My whole family support Newcastle, friends, I couldn’t support another club if I wanted to. It’s ingrained in me.

    I was doing Scunthorpe on cold Tuesday nights under Mike Ashley, benfica, Bruges & Bordeaux away games.

    Even the Saudi ownership won’t sway me. It’s not perfect but what country or state is.

    Only thing that upsets me is the state of the ticketing since the Saudis have taken over. It’s a joke
