Question: What are your thoughts on feeder clubs in general? The reason why I ask this is that I wonder if you could save a club that experienced financial crisis like Southend or Scunthorpe using that model
There’s rules against owning more than 10% of another club in the English pyramid I believe.
To be honest there’s no real reason for doing it in England as you’d be paying for something to help out your players when other clubs will actually pay you to take them.
Plus running a club as simply an incubator is antithetical to the whole meritocratic idea of the pyramid.
You can get roughly the same thing with just building good relations with clubs and honestly one of the major advantages to the Belgian clubs the big teams have/had was the laxer EU residency rules and quicker naturalisation which is gone now.
