Ok so I just switched fiber providers and went from 1gbps to 2gbps.

With their provided router connected directly to my computer, I got 2.3gbps symmetrical. Great! I let them leave.

Now though I have been running a opnSense box as my router for about a year now. This box has dual 10gbps rj45 ports. But, I only get gigabit speeds when using this router.

I can communicate with the opnsense machine at 10gbps via iperf3

I have used ethtool on the machine to confirm the link speed for both ports. It reports 10,000MB/s link and full duplex.

Sooo all should be good… Right?

Anything else I can do to trouble shoot this?

      Cpu is a 8 core Xeon D-1521, definitely not maxing out. Maybe 6% usage during active speed test.

      It’s also DHCP on the wan side
