Both Messi and Haaland deserved it. I wanted Haaland because he is young, but still I was happy for the ending career of Messi. But after the ceremony, Twitter, Instagram EVERYONE attacked Messi. Jesus Christ calm down people…

Messi didn’t deserve it. He played well at WC and won Golden Ball for it. For the rest of the year he wasn’t even good enough to be in the picture for the Ballon d’or. So he is getting anual award for a month of good play. Not deserved at all. Alvarez has better case.

Wow, that is so original, and so not what any Messi or Ronaldo stan would say. Did you come up with that all by yourself? Good for you. Thta’s a good boy

i think the wc has a huge impact on it, but messi also had a high g+a and won two trophies in france (as shown by lens vs arsenal, ligue 1 is bad but not that bad). I mean mbappe ranked above rodri and kdb, bellingham over musiala, and modric over lewwy. martinez yashin award. wc obviously has a large impact, like it has in the past. most people actually think alvarez was ranked too high cos he was benched like half the season for city. the issue is haaland has nothing internationally, and that’s gonna hinder him for every ballon d’or race, unfortunately. At this rate I see bellingham getting the next one.
