I’m so sick of seeing a billion posts and comments saying “messi didn’t deserve the trophy” or “messi robbed haaland”. Do people watch football or just look at stats? Ballon d’or is for best player, not goalscorer. And almost every player agreed to this saying messi deserves it over haaland.

    The criteria are adjusted every year to suit Messi’s particular contribution that year.

    Personally, I can’t wait for him to retire. He’s a fantastic player, but I’m just bored of this discussion.

      R9 won 2002 ballon dor with 6 club goals only because of his performance in the world cup. People are crying about Messi winning is just plain haters.
