I’m seeing videos of Speed at the ceremony, who didn’t know who Gvardiol or Novak Djokovic was when he met them. When Messi won his 8th Ballondor, he was whining and barking in the audience with the other audience members giving him funny looks. I’m all for humour at the right time and right place, but who invited this guy, seriously?

he wasted the seat and was disrespectful to messi and ungrateful to the organization.

is this guy from europe? coz ballon d’ or and football are a big deal in europe. and they are generally respectful people and refined in events like that. this guy is so cheap and classless. his behavior was so out of place.

he maybe rich but you really cannot buy class.

I’ve seen this guy on a few football-related things, but I’ve no idea who the fuck he is? He seems like he actually doesn’t know anything about football, is that right? Does he just run around making noises and being stupid?

How do these people keep becoming rich and famous, like who the fuck is watching this shit? Blows my mind.

So all the people who get to go to the ceremony are invited only? Like what if a normal person wants to go, there is no ticket system?

who didn’t know who Gvardiol or Novak Djokovic

He did know who they were, this is his whole schtick, playing the role of an idiotic American football fan. If you don’t get it that’s fine but millions of people like his content and it will boost the balon d’or engagement and promote the sport to a younger generation.

If you don’t like him or his character that’s fine, but is it really more disrespectful/shameful than rampant open corruption of FIFA, taking bribes from totalitarian nations that use slavery to build stadiums? Or kill journalists with power tools? Or the football world in general that’s owned by these nations?

That explains why most of the world that met him for the first time hate everything about his act. Standard American behaviour of make it all about me even though I have no business even being there.
