  • It’s literally in the methodology statement for the survey…

Methodology: This article includes findings from two U.S. News surveys conducted by YouGov on two nationally representative samples of 1,000 U.S. adult citizens interviewed online from January 14-20, 2022. The first survey included questions on groups involving race, education, income, family, gender, and sexuality, while the second survey included questions on religion, politics, and other miscellaneous groups. The samples were weighted according to gender, age, race, and education based on the 2018 American Community Survey, conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau, as well as 2016 and 2020 Presidential votes (or non-votes). Respondents were selected from YouGov’s opt-in panel to be representative of all U.S. citizens. Real proportions were taken from a variety of sources, including the U.S. Census Bureau, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, YouGov’s internal poll results, and the results of other well-established polling firms. Most estimates were collected within the past three years; the oldest is from 2009. Because the real estimates presented cover a range of time periods, they may differ from actual population sizes at the time our survey was conducted.

  • The question was favorite antihero.

An antihero (sometimes spelled as anti-hero or two words anti hero) or anti-heroine is a character in a narrative (in literature, film, TV, etc.) who may lack some conventional heroic qualities and attributes, such as idealism and morality. Although antiheroes may sometimes perform actions that most of the audience considers morally correct, their reasons for doing so may not align with the audience’s morality.

Perhaps a post titled “Who is your favorite antihero?” Isn’t the best place for you if you’re just looking for reasons to be offended.

  • And what do you mean people with pets or special needs are not able to protect themselves? Ever heard of a radio? One of many things you can use to drown out the shots for pets. Or are you just sitting your pets on the window and pointing at the beautifully ligthened sky while the poor pet shivers beside you, like psychopats?

And for people - headphones exist. It’s literally one night a year.

What a selfish and self centered argument.

  • There should be safe places for people to walk, however my example is of such a place (like the bike path in the picture) being made unsafe for people walking by bicycles (the inverse of what’s pictured).

In normal communities on Lemmy this could spark discussion but on FuckCars you’re all so fragile you have to brigade anyone who doesn’t fall in line with your specific viewpoint.

Clearly my mistake for not blocking this community when I created this alt.

One of the most common and reliable pickups was the 1970 Chevrolet C10 Long Bed:

Height: 65.8 inches Length: 207.75 inches Width without Mirrors: 65.8 inches Ground Clearance (Front): ~8.1 inches Ground Clearance (Rear): ~8.1 inches

This is a 2025 Regular Cab Long Bed Chevrolet Silverado 1500:

Height: 75.6 inches Length: 229.7 inches Width without Mirrors: 81.1 inches Ground Clearance (Front): 8.1 inches Ground Clearance (Rear): 8.1 inches

The “farm truck” excuse is nonsense.
