Then another 10 minutes setting up graphics settings and your out 1/2 hour of your refundable time. On top of that sometimes you have to make an account so thats another 15-20 minutes. Then there are possible proton problems so you might have to test different protons. I play on laptop and deck so I might not have internet all the time, I have to test if the game can play without internet. Might waste most of your trial period on getting the game to run.

  • I’ll probably make a request in the piefed_meta. Having a social app that puts limits on your ability to interact socially seems antithetical to the entire premise of social media. Although in a testing environment the quota does makes sense. Your testing grounds might not be the best fit for me as I do upvote a lot!

I like being positive and I want to encourage people to post and comment. Often times I might not like or even agree with the poster/commenter but I value their interaction and viewpoint and think it’s important to encourage participation.

Thanks Rimu! Probably haven’t told you that I appreciate you, and I do.

  • So after looking at things a little closer I think that the quota is part of the issue. After I reach the quota upvotes stop working in any instance I switch to in the summit app. If I close the app while on a different instance and reopen I can upvote like normal.

Is there a list of instances that do not have a quota? I can see why it might be important but the quota thing kind of blows!

  • I miss my dogs too! Still dream of them often, 15 years on. Although the sorrow never truly leaves, the mark they left in life, and things they taught me. They still carry me. Like when any family member leaves, it never gets better but It does get easier, in time. I still get my dog time when I dream.

Sorry you and your Harry had to part. In a way you never truly do.

  • Its very strange as now upvotes are working in piefed but still not leny.lol. When I debug I always try my old accounts just to see if it might be an instance issue because of possible lemmy/piefed versioning issues. Also I use two mobile apps on the regular, summit and intersteller. If one isnt working I check the other. Both great apps!

I had forgotten to test in intersteller though until I started this comment. It appears that intersteller is having an issue with upvoting as well on lemy.lol so I don’t really know whats going on at all now.

So there really is a quota on piefed.social. makes sense as its your testing grounds. Did you by chance reset my quota? Could that be why I can upvote on piefed.social again? This is all very strange and I just want to provide the best information I can.

    Thanks Rimu!

Charred document recovery depends primarily on which of three heat-damage stages the material has reached: browning (120 to 200 degrees C, high recovery yield), charring (200 to 400 degrees C, partial recovery via NIR reflectance imaging), or ashing (above 400 degrees C, writing largely destroyed). The standard examination sequence is NIR reflectance imaging first, followed by oblique-light photography, multispectral imaging with principal component analysis, and chemical reagent treatment only as a final resort. Stabilisation with a consolidant such as Paraloid B-72 before any attempt to move the fragment is the single most consequential step in the entire workflow: recovery outcome is determined largely by how the material is handled at the scene, not by laboratory technique alone.

Heat transforms paper and ink in measurable stages. Whether a charred document yields readable text depends almost entirely on how it was handled in the first twenty minutes after it was found, not on how severely the fire burned.
