Haha, I knew my device would show up there (Poco F2 Pro) but I still can’t believe this is an old phone, even with its 5 years old battery it still gives me more than 6 hrs of SOT.
Also my phone is very much resurrected with the Pixel OS ROM and the latest security update and passing strong integrity even while it is rooted… (with a bunch of KSU modules) Long live custom ROMs!
This seems only specific, do you have a timer?
Yeah, but you need to concede that their efforts to block “unofficial” users have strengthened as of lately… That’s why I think they might do a Xiaomi move sooner or later.
- Pixel, and immediately install GrapheneOS.
I am surprised Google still allows to open the bootloader, with all the bitching they have been doing towards sideloading apps, play integrity BS and making android more similar to iOS in general terms…
I missed out on Digg and started right with Reddit, if it is alive or back, it would be a fun experiment (or maybe not a fun one).
Ah, so it is manual work? I mean nothing to do with YouTube handling.
That is why I started liking (or disliking) every single video I watch in YT, which I am honestly not a fan of as I am helping to craft the algo lol.
But at least if I see a like or dislike I know for damn good I can skip it, even if I don’t remember it…
How does a second Watch Later playlist work?
Wait, I didn’t know Mozilla actually owned Pocket, I thought they just had a partnership or something…
I used to main Pocket back in the days when I had an iPod Touch 4G and older iPhone models, nowadays… It is storing articles from those days that I bet I haven’t gotten to read 😂
Man, one gets a backlog of everything these days.
It might be silly, but do you know what else is silly? The price of the service, honestly 3 bucks per month should save you a ton of headaches that you would get if you want to stream torrents.
I love Stremio it is so simple to use and relatively easy to set up, I like the set it and forget it format it has (and your settings and setup are synced across all the devices you like).
With that said, geek me can’t leave aside Kodi for good, I have a Nvidia Shield TV Pro 2019 and that is where I use it, even when the setup I’ve for it is somewhat heavy (it makes my Shield struggle sometimes) I love thinkering with it, because… there is fun thinkering right?
My gf does Stremio almost always though.
Yeah… Trakt also started in the enshitification path though (for some it has been there for a while).
While using Stremio alone without a debrid service?
I think you do… perhaps not in the healthiest way, but it is something.
I am an old pirate and I cringe when people bash debrid services for their pirate pride, honestly it is a life changer if you are willing to switch to fully stream (I still seed the content I gather with the Arr stack for my Plex).
The glorified port forwarding issue is even worthless if you are a CGNAT user, and it is 2025 so I’ll assume everyone is.
Basically dead at this point
For free users though, there are some of us who paid for Lifetime Plex Pass tier a long time ago… I do wonder if Lifetime really means forever though.
Not on my watch! /j
I’d like that you consider these two points in the roadmap please:
Icon support, I like the icon, but it doesn’t always fit with certain themes I use, specially dark mode based themes, so basically I’d be asking for a dark summit icon in this case, but other kinds of icons are most than welcome for sure.
The app does a good job remembering the position when you are in a thread and the app gets closed (usual android app ram management) but it is certainly inferior when you are in the main feed (or whatever feed you would be the last time I guess), it kinda refreshes the main feed and when you are back you are never truly where you were the last time. As usual, I am not sure if I am being exactly clear, so just think it this way, you own a subpar device like a Xiaomi phone (yeah I am projecting myself lol) which is fairly known to have a not so good ram management, you are using Summit in the main feed and scroll a bit, then open another app and surprise, MIUI/HyperOS killed Summit in the background, when you are back the position where you were the last time is gone, that is where I see room for improvement.
I am not sure if you are back from your break, I’ll patiently wait for these suggestions though :)
Kodi ain’t a self host tool, nor a server though but it is a great player, and I happily use the big 3, Kodi, Stremio and Plex (I’d add Cloud Stream as a runner up).
