I’m completely sure it has the capacity to work… sorta.
Before I abandoned Discord because of it consuming my life, I did this to someone in one of my friend groups, and it was like a 2 days of hilarity.
But, in fairness, if not the entire time, at least from some point I’m sure the reaction was performative just to keep the joke going.
“No HeHoXa god dammit my girlfriend and I are NOT into vore!!!”

2·5 hours agoI bet you are amazing with technology.
The most computer savvy people I’ve known developed their skills as a necessity to make their 500 mHz potato keep up with their friends for chat and gaming.
If you ever want to mess with a 20-something degenerate, use “vore” to mean “eating out” and watch the horror and madness consume them.

Did you make an acoustic data network using strings and cups?

2·1 day agoI’d heard of this strategy, like making it perform some kind of costly encryption that’s irrelevant to a human user but restrictively expensive for a bot army.
But does decoding a QR code apply? I never really thought about it. I guess it’s an image, it’s at least a little big by comparison… but it’s also in a restricted, easy to capture spot and maybe could be minimized to a fairly small pixel set? Idk how many key pixels you need to parse a QR code… I guess I could Google
*typo bit --> bot and bit --> big… I’m full of bit

“Oh my god! Don’t you know being different separates you from the tribe? Look everyone! I’m rejecting it! See how normal and deserving of inclusion I am?”
😂 nailed it

To the final point, I think it’s be more accurate to say deception is more powerful than security, or entropy is more powerful than order.
It kinda goes both ways. Chaos forbids its own absolution. It’d be too well ordered.
Balance is the most powerful, the true chaos. Hypocrisy reigns.
Thank you for attending my toker talk.
C’mon buddy. You need to give these jokes a REST

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are some weird flexes people have that they think make them better than others?
17·3 days agoAny career.
Had a plumber once who spent the entire hour ranting about being a master plumber and how being a unionized tradesman is the only honorable profession and the water works guy is an idiot for not taking his word as gospel…
He was also like 160cm tall and bald, most insecure being I’ve ever observed walking this planet.
But that, “my job makes me better” vibe isn’t unique to him. Seen it in doctors, lawyers, programmers, policemen, social workers, therapists…
Make sure to get the life preservers too, so they don’t clog the holes.
