I’m genuinely putting money aside for when the AI bubble pops so I can hopefully hoover up some cheap computer parts lol

In this case, perhaps to put the idea of shooting at ICE cars out into the universe without getting in trouble lol
Also the thing where you try and show the problem to any other person and it starts working just to make you look dumb. Me and my SO do that all the time: “This thing isn’t working, I know you don’t know how to fix it but can you come over and look at it not working so it’ll work?” And I’d say at least 50% of the time it does lol

Full disclosure, I’m also not American. But I was thinking of the Patriot Act, which IMO was a huge power grab by the Executive Branch and paved the way for a lot of the problems (especially widespread indiscriminate surveillance) that are present today.
It’s up to the Americans of course, and I remember there being protests about it, but I was really surprised they just let that go on without getting rowdy.

Since like 2002 TBH

I worry about this too. There’s lot’s of things the EU should do (and indeed, lots of things they should have done ages ago) about this, but it’s entirely possible that they’ll just sit there writing strongly-worded letters to each other while the US and Russia steam-roller them from each side.
Sometimes things just stop working for no apparent reason, and you phone the doctor then play the “well, hopefully this isn’t permanent” waiting game which is fun. Current case: earwax or just deaf in one ear now?

I’ve never used the feature but my toothbrush has Bluetooth for some reason lol

“Perfect! You are now logged into your computer. Enjoy your desktop!”
“You’re absolutely right, I failed to log you in while claiming you had actually logged in. Good catch! I’ll log you into your system now. Have fun!”

As someone who lives in Canada, same here. I’ve been in the past (IE. Pre-Trump) and it was lovely but I probably won’t go again. In our household we don’t even buy American products or shop in American stores anymore if we can possibly help it.
I know a lot of people who do the same too. I don’t think the US has quite grasped yet how much it has pissed Canada off, and how long the road is going to be to start fixing that up, if they even want to try. Certainly at the moment they seem to be set on making it worse and worse each day.
I had an idiot friend as a kid who set some off by hitting them against a metal gas canister and I ran away 'cause I thought it was going to explode lol

I’m still on a 4a too! I’m kind of thinking about upgrading 'cause I run GrapheneOS on it and nowadays whenever I reboot it I get a warning that it’s no longer supported, but also it still works so whatever.
I think maybe if I see a newer Pixel that’s cheap second-hand somewhere I might think about it, that way I can keep using GrapheneOS and not give any money to Google.

That might just be Steven Moffat lol

I thought Kaos was really good, so of course they shitcanned it immediately after one season lol.

I remember seeing a Russel T. Davies interview where he said he once received a script and the very first line of dialogue was someone saying “Happy Wedding Day, Sis!” and he immediately threw it away lol.

Or that thing where a character references something that was said/happened 10 minutes ago and they do a flashback to show that it happened.

Yeah I think it’s worse. In Idiocracy they’re dumb, but they do eventually listen when told what they’re doing is wrong, and take steps to amend it. We… do not tend to do that lol
If it helps, I’m Gen X and I think being anti-vax is dangerous and idiotic, I still wear a mask when going out, I think Trump is a demented pedo rapist, capitalism is going to doom us all and nazis can fuck right off.
I think Linux has a sort of built-in failsafe for that, in that it’s so fragmented. I’m sure that if a critical mass of people start using it then enshittification and nonsense will start to creep in in places (as with everything, more people come > corporations follow trying to make a buck > they slowly poison and ruin everything) but there’s nothing to stop someone just spinning off a different distro that works only for nerds.
