I was on 2mg/day patch, but had to switch to pills because my skin hated the adhesive. For some reason the pills hit me harder so I’m on 0.5mg/2x/day at present

I’m on clonidine because I have a multi-generational family history of aortic dissection. I was on vyvanse for about two years before my dad’s aorta killed him. I’ve never been more on top of my life than when I was on a stimulant. But clonidine absolutely does help me focus, and it reduces the noise in my head, even if the effects are less profound than the stim.

I just added buproprion back into my daily meds, hoping that’s going to help more with the executive dysfunction

I have no opinions about nitro-infused steel, but: Those are just sources of nitrogen for whatever process is used. In other words: there should be no remaining CN- (cyanide) or NH3 (ammonia) on the pan after manufacture because the N(itrogen) has gone into the alloy. Medication is a privilege that many with ADHD can’t access. It also doesn’t work for everyone. Are those people not disabled?

Also, ADHD is more than struggling to focus, or to sit still. Many of us struggle to start tasks, manage money, keep things tidy, or manage time. These issues can cause so many problems in life, ranging from inability to hold a job to relationship issues. Once the medication wears off, these symptoms rise back to the surface; because ADHD medication isn’t a cure, it’s symptom management.

My organic chemistry prof was equally weird about synthesis. But his ego rested on everyone passing, in contrast to the biology prof who failed half the students in her classes. She was the better teacher. I don’t remember much from my second semester of o chem because I didn’t really need to learn anything to get an A, but I have retained quite a lot from her classes
