In one fell swoop, former Philadelphia 76ers head coach Doc Rivers managed to shade James Harden and Ben Simmons. Rivers was asked Wednesday on The Dan…

I respect Doc for always being real. However, as a (former?) professional coach, at what point does one learn to stop throwing everyone playing for him, and their sitster, under the bus? You don’t air out the laundry like that.

Doc Rivers frustrated me as a Sixers head coach more than Ben Simmons as a Sixers player. 🤷🏿‍♂️

Harden deserves a playoff run with a healthy supporting cast. When is the last time He had a playoff run with decent team health? Was it 2016 season?

Russ played on one leg and was the worst player on the court in the lakers series. Harden outplayed AD and Bron.

Embiid had a torn knee ligament and his ppg dropped by 10 ppg and his fg% dipped even more than that.

Every star player who has won a ring recently either had great teammate health (jokic, Bron and AS) or crazy injury luck go their way( Giannis and kawhi) Harden has never gotten any of those breaks. Would be nice for it to be his turn to get the injury breaks for once.

All the players you listed are better than harden. Harden has time getting carried and couldn’t win in Houston. He’s been a bum snake since, he’ll retire ringless. Lol 😂

I think it’s wild to take AD over Harden when talking about their careers overall.

Peanut butter and jelly. Hot wings and beer. Doc and throwing players under the bus… certain things just go together.

You notice how not a single player came out and said “yeah man really gonna miss that guy” about Doc lmao

There’s been about 10 documented instances since training camp started where players on the 76ers have thrown shade at Doc or even openly laughed at what he was doing last year.

He throws players under the bus while he’s still coaching them. What do you expect when he’s actually unemployed. Stubbornness, not open to criticism-ness?

STFU Doc, last year I honestly would have trusted James input more than yours! Last year James actually bought in and told Maxey to shoot and be aggressive! While Doc had his 2 man hierarchy.

This is like choosing between a freerider and an asshole when doing a project

Having someone not doing their work is infinitely better than having some actively sabotaging it

And that person currently is Doc Rivers
