It’s been a while since players had to “play” a full season reason why is simply money NBA owners want to make maximum money so do players, since the league splits everything 50/50. The current deal the league has ends in 2025 and is looking to get 75 Billion in the next deal so don’t be surprised if you see guys like Wendall Carter making 40 million a season or Luca Doncic making 70 Million a season we may see one play maybe Whemby getting a 5 year 500 million dollar deal after his rookie deal is over. That’s peanuts compared to what owners will get with the new TV contract.
why do you need to frame it as amazon and apple like espn/tnt and other league partners were happy about stars sitting out.
Sounds like teams and players win here. Only people that lose are the consumers that need to subscribe to 4 different streaming services to watch.
I subscribe to one service called Internet and have not missed a game in years.
I haven’t had cable in a decade.
I’m failing to understand the part anyone gives a shit about. Elaborate
Meanwhile…Mike played 82 9 TIMES!!!
Yeah, but against plumb-men and milkers
and then don’t forget the finals runs which were probably another 15-20 games every season
Can’t watch my team legally anyway, so hopefully amazon jumps in
The NBA isn’t making that much money from one entity. They’re not gonna make as much money out of the deal as I think people expect. But we’ll see.
