    Fair is fair.

You’ve done it and now you suffer the consequences, will be interesting to see what happens going forward.

As Paul Merson said though, it needs to be dealt with differently, not through a ban. Taking away their livlihood is not the answer to rehabilitation.

There needs to be a long hard look at football and it’s relationship with the predatory betting industry.

The pearl clutching at people and fans showing support and solidarity for someone who’s admitted he has an addiction from people on Reddit the past few weeks has been embarassing too btw. Some of you are always harping on about mens mental health when it’s a favourite player but when it actually comes to it they’re all dick and nee balls 👍🏼

He didn’t use proper avenues. He bet illegally. Probably because betting companies. Legit ones. Limited him down.

So he went else where to place more bets. He also recruited other people. Why is he immune to criticism. Because he claimed he has an addiction? Like every other footballer who does this?

Being a gambling addicted does not mean you are addicted to gambling on your own team. You can bet on anything.

Not yet. Imagine that might be more of a slow burn. This investigation has gone quickly as players have admitted it to get a plea deal - there’s no way Paqueta’s going to admit to spot fixing
