Let’s just put this behind us
I’ll never hype this result up as much as others because barcas coach was literally dying but this bayern were a great team.
Zero insights, boring and tired commentary. What a find.
well Barca didn’t really have a manager that affected the team
Painful to watch
Is this for a documentary?
Bayern got a pass for going 3-0 up in the first leg with 3 illegal goals. Still bothers me to this day.
I remember finishing work that day just around the time the second half of the second match started (from memory, I could be mistaken). I was optimistic after the first round, but not wanting to count my chickens, but I remember my phone buzzing a bunch and finally stopped off at a store to get some dinner for the evening and saw the score and ran into the nearest sport pub I could find to catch the very end, didn’t see any of the goals of the second match, which was a shame, but was still shocked it was that “Easy” and Barca hadn’t come to make it difficult at home. Must have watched the replay 2-3 times that night though.
That’s the first time I have seen Thiago after he went into summer hibernation
Is he still even at Liverpool lol
Wait, you didn’t sell him to saudi?
I’m happy we’ve put him into that Sturridge 18/19 or Ledley King 09/10 for Spurs role. So we’re not reliant on him week to week but when he is fit he can make massive contributions.
I just love listening to muller
It always confused me how Barcelona with prime Messi both had no impact or chance vs Bayern but then Real Madrid with Ronaldo won every single time
Bartomeu really did kill the barca dna by signing players that didnt fit the system during madrids 3 peat. In addition as good as rackitic was, he could never touch xavi’s boots, this forced iniesta to perform xavis role and messi in turn performed iniestas role and even scored a shit ton, however, when it came to KOs against top opposition, all they had to do was shut messi out and that was it, suarez’s poor form in ucl didnt help either.
Well, one of those times included an offside goal and the other time a big Ulreich-Rafinha blunder. The biggest disappointing defeat was the 4-0 in Munich with the best squad Pep had, he was completely outcoached (or according to Lahm’s book, the players basically forced him to change his tactics).
Messi was playing injured
“Ok, you go to Barcelona sitting on a 4-0 lead”
