All of our top 5 clubs replaced a coach this season, but yeah didn’t expect him from all to arrive. I’ve kinda expected Tomić or Garcia.
I think Garcia is a phenomenal coach who would win the title with any of the big 4 this season. His Istra side was probably the best HNL non big 4 side since Tomić’s Lokomotiva with a much less talented squad.
I dont understand how he is still unemployed. Great coach and obviously great with fans. He is the reason casual Istra fans are arriving at the stadium again.
Istra would’ve probably even played European qualifications if Erceg wasn’t a dumbass and got suspended for like 10 games.

I think this is a ridicolous decision. I mean, it’s one thing to fire Leko if you have a clear path forward, but hiring Karoglan who was sacked by Istra after only a couple of games is pretty stupid.
I still think Dambrauskas was the best coach Hajduk had in a long time and they really should stick with a coach and buy into his vision if they are ever seriously gonna compete. They are back at square one after an unbelievably great start.
Oh well, this season is completely chaotic, I think there is a somewhat realistic chance for any of the big four to take the big trophy home at the end of the season. Jakirović will get fired in the next month as it stands, Sopić is a bizzarre character but his Rijeka actually looks nice, Zekić’s Osijek with defensive solidity can grind out results so it will be a dogfight till the end.
I hope that we wont fire Jakirović as he is at least at fault for this whole mess in our club. All our players except Petković, Baturina and maybe Vidović are mediocre at best. Hopefully we can sign some quality players in the winter transfer window.
