Real shame that Armenia were down to 10 men for most of the game, but with how bad their defending was they’re honestly lucky it was only 2-0, but what can you do with a whole man disadvantage

If you include a friendly against Ireland in March, they drew or lost by one goal in eight of their last ten matches, before a 5-0 away defeat to Croatia and a 0-2 home loss against Wales. They’ve played creditably against many of the stronger teams in their group, so this will feel like a big relief for them

We didn’t yet play them away so don’t want to jinx it, but against Croatia they really looked terrible

I’m not comparing anything, I’m saying what I and everybody else sees on the pitch. We are so tactically disciplined we struggle to beat teams like Andorra, Liechtenstein, Faroe Islands, etc. Yes, we have to start from somewhere, and that would include calling up deserving players, having a manager that doesn’t have any inside shit on FA, favor for a favor, somebody has shit on others, basically a foreign coach who cares and that provides a fresh look on football. With the best recent examples being hockey and basketball NT coaches.

I don’t know which other national teams call up players to give them match fitness in NT rather than club. What is consistency worth when the results and the play is shit? Turkey is a team we do very well against historically, a number of draws and minimal losses even in recent years, in fact, should have gotten a draw this year too. In away game definitely not nearly as confident.

Yeah I’ve been following Zelarayan’s career pretty closely. I live in Canada so I’ve seen multiple games on TV and also when he was playing for Belgrano in Argentina. It would’ve been cool to see him in Europe. I think he would’ve done really well for himself in a country like Belgium.

And thanks for your support. Armenia is my go-to counter to cheer for. I have a great grandfather on my dads side that is Armenian. One of the largest Armenian diasporas in the world is in Argentina.

ohhhhh. Thanks for the explanation (man, Latvia now have the funniest chance of just playing god with the group lmfao, aka doing a Venezuela in 2018 WCQ and just proceed to eliminate someone like Venezuela did to Paraguay despite being last and Paraguay needing just a point to qualify yet Venezuela defeated them, due to having yet to play Turkey and Croatia and if they beat them both even if they wont qualify, they will 100% send everything to the final day lol)
