Well, you wouldn’t do it this way, but some places use explosions to intentionally cause avalanches when nobody else is around. By intentionally causing the avalanche, the area becomes much less dangerous afterwards.

Since those guys are apparently leaving the avalanche zone, that must be what they were doing. That skier doesn’t look appreciative considering how much safer those heroes have made it.
