I’m in the middle of watching Scavengers Reign, and it’s brilliantly fascinating. It’s quite the hellscape, with some horrific elements and a dreamlike quality. It has incredible worldbuilding but a limited story. The body horror is beautiful?

Also, Mad God is a genuinely creepy and weird creation to explore. It’s grotesque, nightmarish, and incoherent.

Both have insane creature designs and visually stunning imagery.

In a different vein, Yamishibai has some of the creepiest short horror anime I’ve seen. Well, not all of them are great, but many are.

I also remember watching Attack on Titan for the first time—such a visceral, intense experience.
