What will it take for something like this to be successful in Abq?

Having used Lime in other cities, I’m in favor of them coming. I am very leery of ABQ drivers though and would probably only use them around downtown.

On the flip side, I’ve had to slam my brakes for jaywalkers in electric mobility scooters before, I won’t be surprised if this increases jaywalker injuries.

I’m happy for Lime to try, but not if they’re asking the city for money. I worry it will end up being one of those things people point to as how bad ABQ is if Lime pulls out because of theft.

Lol maybe someone should drive up to Colorado springs and grab a truckload of scooters to leave downtown for people searching with the lime app.

This also makes me wonder why the city has to get involved or tax this kind of business differently than any other.

My guess is it’s because lime will take up city owned parking locations? I’m not sure who pays for the various hubs they park their scooters in
