Looks good to me. Hop on another promo next back-to-school season before the 18 months are up.

BC and Manitoba should bring back their own telecom crown corporations to have more competition to get us even better deals.

Now why would they do that? They didn’t privatize them to just go around and undercut private profits. 😂

Not bad, most mobile plans in canada are around this much. Note that they mention after the 18 month period the discount changes, so the price probably hikes up a little after.

Now check see what speeds they offer the data on (LTE, 4G, 5G), some like Koodo have lower data speeds unless you buy an extra add-on for that. Some providers like Fizz have nice prices, but their speeds are terrible so it ends up not worth it imo.

I hope this plan includes unlimited calls and texting, and if you don’t plan on going across the canadian-usa-mexico borders maybe they have a cheaper one without

The price goes up to $45 a month after the 18 month promotion period. They have 5G. I believe the speeds are at around 200 megabits per second. Unlimited texting and calling is included.

The caveat is that you can’t call from Mexico to the US without incurring more charges.

Check your current provider. I updated my plan last year with Bell to get 50GB/month, but a few days ago, and I’ll soon be getting 130GB, for almost the same price. I think I’ll be paying $2 more/month, mainly because the new plan doesn’t come with any bundling reductions like my last plan.

But my point is, it looks like Canadian cell providers appear to be significantly increasing the limits in their data plans lately. And since the three majors tend to offer more or less the same plans…

the problem always is that once you get enough data, its good enough.

Like, i watch a LOT of youtube, and never go over 20gb. Can’t be bothered with 50gb vs 100gb vs 10,000gb…

Obviously, usecases differ, but we are reaching the “everyone has enough speed and enough data”

I don’t have a problem with 5gb and for the same price I can get more data but that’s useless for me

I haven’t found anything that hits mid range for cheaper, just basically no data or way too much
