@fastfinge @evilcookies98 I certainly hope not because I was actually thinking of getting a Sonos arc and air 300s…
@fastfinge Sonos likes to brick all of it’s equipment. Good product, disappointing business model :/
I dunno, the sub I got 9 years ago is still going strong. The play fives they quote unquote bricked still work on the s1, for Spotify connect and Apple Music. The only unusable equipment is some 20 year old zone controllers. Sonos stuff is supported for years longer than literally any other tech brand. And I’m sure I’ll get a pretty decent price when I start selling off my Sonos stuff on Tuesday.
@fastfinge they tried to brick everything a few years ago and stop supporting older models but they got so much pushback that they walked back thier statement.
And it’s very, very difficult to use or sell anything on the second market. I had a used sonos and they refused to help me make it work without some mysterious orginal factory pin number.
Been my experience. I’ve a beam gen 2 and it’s great sound but several days it’ll randomly cut out with my TV and I’ve to force restart the TV. TV’s earc and fully compatible.
you know, apparently I’ve been seeing on Reddit that even sighted people are hating the new update.
