    Man, props to the section on data & methodology. It’s clear they did a butt-ton of research for this. Can’t wait to read the subsequent articles.

    This isn’t just a Tampa issue. All of Florida is getting like this and it’s becoming way too expensive to buy a house. My wife and I are making plans to move out just so we can afford to live.

      This isn’t just Tampa or Florida. This is happening across the entire country. 3 out of every 4 homes sold last year in Atlanta were bought by institutional investors. Wallstreet is buying every house they can get their fingers on. Capital is not the issue. Getting then rehabbed is the only thing slowing them down. They need to be legislated out of existence, but what will actually happen instead is Americans will all be forced into renting because none of us are going to stand up against this.

        Unfortunately, I’m sure the investors are going to lobby for their freedom to keep their houses instead of being forced to sell them.
