I mean I’m genuinely in favor of the platform, because it sounds like an awesome idea. But it’s naive to pretend that Amazon’s not planning on squeezing it for a profit motive (e.g. paying the musicians whose music is being played essentially $0, far below even the puny shrunken royalties they get from streaming services in general).
Anything thought of or proposed by a company only has the main goal of profit. It’s never innovation, making the world better, making technology better…it’s ONLY profit
