Another bloody myGov scam

I can see why people think this is a scam and if you are worried, If you just send me your name, address, telephone number, drivers licence number and tax file number. I can claim the refund for you so you won’t be at risk.
What a helpful, and totally not-dodgy site!
I followed the link, entered all my details and credit card number and everything! It turns out they already know all I need to tell them and I’m sure to see my refund in my account real soon!
My god why do they not at least put in the slightest amount of effort to use HTTPS?
tbh given how awful most government services are it’s not that surprising if someone gets caught by this

That’s a scam my friend.
It can still be due if it’s a refund. It’s an amount due to you.
Edit: Should have also stated the obvious. This is a scam. The URL and missing “tax” between “income return” are some of the bigger give aways.
Also the domain name, you would expect my.gov.au or ato.gov.au.
