    As of Jan. 1, anyone making or spending more than $3,000 to influence decisions by governmental bodies across the state must register. The new law applies to all of the state’s “political subdivisions,” including the state Legislature, city councils, county boards, local zoning authorities and school boards.

    From the article: it is free to register as a lobbyist, a single form, and means you are in a searchable database and have to conform to more stringent rules about political donations. GOOD.

    This is fantastic! Get dark money out of politics. No one should be capable of donating large amounts of money to politics without being known.
