And why would that be an issue? Because I don’t see an issue here. But sometimes, it can be annoying, that’s true. Not this time, though, I don’t think it’s misplaced here. Or maybe I’m just reading the excerpt at a different pace than you, which might make it sound better in my head than in yours. But that’s just a theory :3

Formal writing for an essay or research paper? Baaad.
For the purpose of placing emphasis or highlighting a way of speaking in fiction? It can be okay.
