Very nice! The platform looks really clean, but I don’t see any benches. Are there waiting rooms elsewhere in the station? Or is this just a seasonal service (I seem to remember that much of the infrastructure in and around Mecca is only in use during the Hajj), so it’s intentionally minimalist?
This is the high speed rail that connects Makkah to Medina and passes by Jeddah. It runs all year long and has massive stations.
You are probably thinking of this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Mashaaer_Al_Mugaddassah_Metro_line which only runs during Hajj.
