Installed new pads on my z4 and they seems to be bubbling out and squeel when I get off the highway, any ideas on why this is happening?

I’m wondering if they cost the pads at the factory to prevent corrosion or something, then as they start to get warm that coating cooks off.

That’s what this is. Most pads are painted on every surface but the friction surface, some even have overspray there but it’s NBD. The paint is just burning off from normal brake heat.
Looks like Brake fluid contamination. Is this a ford? I bet the caliper is seeping brake fluid. Check brake fluid level and see if the caliper is wet anywhere, specially more so on the back side
The brake pads are coated and the coating is starting to fall apart due to all the heat cycles brake pads go through even during ordinary driving. It’s very common on cheap brake pads, nothing to worry about.
Just a coating bubbling up. Depends on how hot the pads get and whether or not the edges are coated. Nothing to worry about here.
It happens on my race pads due to the high temps. It could happen on daily driving if the pads have a low temp coating.
