I’m sitting here at Costco waiting for the gal in front of me to finish topping her tank off, watching as fuel splashes onto her shoes.
She spent as much time topping off, as she spent fueling up.
People, stop doing this.
It’s not doing your car any favors.
No one reads signs.
My team lead had to go home last week because he went to get fuel for his truck at break. Diesel truck with a large tank so he sat in the truck while it was fueling. When he got out he stepped in a puddle of diesel that had been pouring out when the auto shutoff didn’t engage. About 5-8 gallons worth. Got all over his truck, his clothes, and the ground.
That’s not even the worst part of it. He wants to sue the station since he claimed the pump was faulty! The gas station attendant told him that you are supposed to stay at the pump while fueling up. He was livid and says there is no sign that says that. Bro, it’s at every station. Right next to the one that says not to smoke and to shut off your vehicle. SMH.
Man that’s gonna stink, I had one shoot out from the side of the nozzle, fucking stunk my car out for ages
Not topping off is correct but sometimes the pump automatically shuts off earlier than it should, more than one time I’ve gotten back into my car and saw the gauge not on the full mark.
