I opened my hood to check oil before I left for the day and I see this. Any idea what caused this?
Looks like coolant
Looks like the radiator is cracked or has a tiny hole that’s spraying coolant everywhere when it’s hot and up to pressure. I would wait for it to cool, top off the coolant and then get it hot again to pressurize the system and look to see if you can tell where it’s coming from. BE VERY CAREFUL obviously using this method could spray hot coolant in your direction.
You’re spraying coolant all over the place while driving. You have a leak, broken hose, bad radiator cap, a bad radiator, bad cooling fans, something else, or a combination of all of the above.
Bought a new radiator and we’re gonna put it in asap. It was pissing everywhere lol. I thank you and everyone else for the quick replies. One question maybe you could answer, I recently replaced the thermostat should I hold off on it or do another one with the new radiator installation?
Either you burst a coolest hose or it’s mud
Road brine, did it snow, or is it close to freezing where you are.
Top tank burst. Happens a lot when the coolant is low. I’d be willing to bet that one or more hoses has a build up of corrosion&coolant leaking near the clamps. May be able to get away with replacing just the radiator and any suspect hoses & clamps, but I’d recommend a thermostat too. Have the system pressure tested afterwards to make sure there isn’t any other components leaking like the water pump.
I recently replaced the thermostat would you say to get another one?
Radiator bukkake
It just couldn’t hold it…
My fav comment so far lmao
Cars XXX
Considering there’s a giant hole in the top of your radiator, that’s coolant and it’s everywhere
Is that a mitsubishi 3000gt?
You know. I thought the same thing.
First thing I thought when I saw that intake manifold lol
Bukkake coolant party
The top seam of your radiator has a crack. Replace the radiator and use the proper Hyundai coolant the next time too.
Lieutenant dan, you aint got no legs
Radiator sneezed.
I agree with the other posters. Looks like a nasty coolant leak. It makes the aluminum turn color and you have a chemical reaction
It’s called radiator leak.
