You can buy similar ones such as a Flatbox, SGF Bridget, etc.
If the Victrix uses a standard console input type, you’ll be able to use it. Steam is very flexible with input devices.

This is a Slimbox 2040m which is a 3d printed, leverless fight stick that uses low profile keyboard switches instead of the more traditional Sanwa type buttons.
Ah okay, so the buttons are just forward, back, down, jump instead of the stick? I feel like that would take a lot to get used to - did you ever play with a traditional fightstick?
Yes, but not specifically in that button order. It doesn’t take too long to get adjusted to it. I have been playing in actual arcades since I was a kid, and I have an old PS3 MadCatz TE stick.
It just takes a few rounds to get the basics down. It’s like having your fingers on ASD and Space for jump.
Is input lag any problem here? Sick setup. Maybe trying something similar when I get my OLED
From a lot of offline fighting game experience at local tournaments, deck + dock feels almost identical to playing on PS4/5 for input lag. Its likely 4ms delay whereas playing on PC you can get the delay down to as low as 2ms. You can also use an external motor and it feels almost no different
It doesn’t feel like a problem because everything is wired
This huge controller makes the steam deck look like it’s the size of a psp lol
Perspective makes it even smaller. However, the Deck is actually wider by about an inch or two

I’ve not been a beat-em-up player for a while so when I saw these new “fight sticks” I was fascinated because they’re supposedly the new hotness (well for a few years now).
My mate and I really got into SFIV back in 2009 and we got decent arcade sticks and bought Samwa parts and did them up, then played the crap out of SFIV and were still shit at the game. Good times.
But yes the Deck has great controller support. It has recognised nearly everything I’ve connected to it. Will definitely check out Fightcade.
I have an old SF4 MadCatz TE stick that I updated with a GP2040-CE, but I put it aside for this hitbox-like Slimbox also running GP2040-CE.
I am styrofoam tier despite the setup.
