Titles like ‘Ori and the Will of the Wisps’ will blow your mind at 90Hz with HDR on that screen! It’s wild.

I only have one game in my library that is tagged as HDR even tho I have a bunch of games that support it. So at the moment I find it rather useless lol. Hopefully more HDR games get tagged in the future, then this will be a LOT more useful!

I added a dynamic filter to my library of 900 games and… 0 showed up with HDR support.

I have 1000+ games in my library but only four of them have HDR support.

I tested: Gotham Knights, Back 4 Blood, Mortal Kombat 11 (broken HDR) and Doom Eternal.

Honestly it was pretty disappointing, especially considering the download sizes. Back 4 Blood was the only one where the HDR difference was noticeable, and I don’t really have any plans to play that more on the Deck.

Hopefully the platform gets better and more frequent HDR support soon.

I agree with Doom Eternal, it was disappointing, doesn’t look great. But HDR in Ori and in Horizon Zero is really cool.

This filter does not work, it barely lists any of the HDR games. It did not list Baldurs Gate 3, Cyberpunk and Disco Elysium of the last 4 HDR games I played to test this things HDR yesterday.

The PSS should be not to this filter!

Yeah. The HDR search filter is new and developers have to properly label their games as HDR enabled. Most of them have yet to do so.

I hope that all the OLED Decks out there will help increase HDR support in games. It can look really great when implemented correctly.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps looks absolutely stunning in HDR, 90fps.

You want about 75% screen brightness for an HDR game to get all the detail in bright and dark areas.

It’s way more recent than that, I was trying to find HDR games before ordering the steam deck and it was VERY hard without library filtering. Also some games are still not correctly labeled. DRG has HDR but is not listed

FYI, many games can look worse when using HDR due to poor in-game implementations. Having had access to HDR since the Xbox One X days there have been many times I’ve turned it off after finding the picture quality subjectively worse. This also is even more of an issue when using PC titles and the lack of HGIG mapping that the consoles have.

How does hdr works on the deck? In windows some games need to hdr be enabled on windows, others can be enabled on the games menu.

Has anyone managed to get Control with HDR? I tried the mod that offered native support but it doesn’t work for me. :/

Can anyone get remote play working with HDR? From what I’m seeing it looks like they dont support it, and its a crying shame as I badly want to stream Cyberpunk in all its ray traced glory with HDR to the steam deck. When I try it looks incredibly washed out, though i can see on my TV its rendering perfect, something about the remote play system is killing it.
