And it’s perfect!
I still have my 7 but it won’t charge 🥲
One of my biggest gripes with using old iPhones and iPads as offline media devices is that Apple is extremely stingy with storage space so most likely these old phones only have 16/32GB of storage, making them a pain in the ass to curate a media library in them.
If only they had expandable storage. But they don’t even support mounting SD cards directly from an external adapter, you have to import the media in bulk, making them useless.
If you’re like me and use old phones at home while on Wi-Fi, you could have a media app that streams content from a NAS on your LAN.
i also have an iPhone 7 how to customise it ?
Good idea
Love it!! I may do the same with my old iPhone 7 too. Great idea 💡
Maaan that sharp screen and case design made me wanna switch back from my 13pro! Hold me back people don’t let me do that silly move🤯
Been using my 8 Plus for this reason.
That’s strong.
I love this. Serious question(s). Does it still have cell service? Im curious how the music will play and if you need to download the songs. And if the tracking and fitness has to wait and update when you get to WiFi.
No cell service. No SIM card. Strava tracks the runs via GPS and saves them, but then uploads them to the Strava profile upon connecting to the WiFi. I don’t use Apple music subscription, I have my own music that I sync via iTunes…
That’s awesome, and that’s what I’m gonna do with my old iPhone 6s PS: I switched to Android recently
It is awesome (did the same thing with a 6s) no need for being constantly interrupted by text messages or emails or other distractions while running/exercising
lol those features were built in
Amazing simplicity! So when you get a text message, it doesn’t show here because you deleted the message app right?
Ayo share that wallpaper link
Tempo user i see
Why not just use your normal phone though?? It does all that
15 is too big and I don’t like running with it on my arm. I wish I still had my old iPod Nano, not sure why Apple stopped producing those.
Unfortunately I no longer have a real iPod (I used to have a Nano back in 2007.) and my current iPhone 15 is kind of too big / annoying when attached to my arm while running, so this was the best solution I could come up with.
If they get robbed theyd much rather their old iphone 7 be stolen than a brand new more valuable/expensive phone.
Introducing the iPod+!
