To me it just looks like standard UV damage causing the clear coat and maybe the base coat to oxidize and check.
Coupled with an automatic car wash with the roller thingies. Worst thing you can do to clear coats imo.
The giant yellow orb in the sky
Thanksgiving cutting board?
Stooges sliding packages up there like it’s a shelf.
Animals or also likely somebody really likes doing lines off your vehicle.
That’ll be sun damage. Especially if that side is directly exposed and not at an angle. The shape of the vehicle, how you park it, and time of day all have a bearing on the angle in which the sun hits your car. Direct angle will cause the most damage. Reflective damage can happen from glare off windows too.
Cats?
Evita?
My car sits on the roadside in a quiet neighbourhood when not in use, so I do not think that this has been caused by vandalism. My car is exposed to weather and the elements at all times, however.
The damage is located on the rear of the roof. My car does have a roof-rack, but I have not transported anything that would have caused this damage.
Would this be likely to come-out with a cut and polish?
Squirrels?
I seen this on another car and it ended up being birds…
Is that panel of the vehicle made of plastic, fiberglass, or a composite material?
It is plastic from what I can tell
Looks like a poor previous repair to me
