Am struggling with whether to buy a new 2023 Outback with the CVT transmission. I usually drive my cars into the ground (300K+ mileage) but am concerned about the reliability of this tranny. Option #2 is a Honda Passport. Thoughts?

I have an 08 outback and it has been excellent. One stop at the dealer for an airbag sensor. The Subaru CVT is supposed to be one of the better ones. And subaru debuted the CVT on the Justy.
Honda is going to outlive a subaru
My 2013 Honda CRV is running strong with 260,000 kms and does not burn oil. Plan on keeping it and selling my 2016 Civic.
THe Subbie transmission problems were fixed after the 2018 model year. So a 2023 should be good. The only issue is oil consumption. The Subbie manual is pretty clear that if you drive under severe driving conditions, oil changes are at 3,750 miles, not 6,000. Stop and go, short trips, towing, etc.
