Just bought this 2015 corolla with 125,000km on it. Getting winter tires now to handle our harsh Canadian winters. Had the rav4 for 3 years and it’s the best car I’ve ever owned.
Does the Rav4 have AWD? Will not having that be a problem, in your environment, with the Corolla?
AWD is overrated. I have it in the rav4 but I’d rather have front wheel drive and winter tires than awd and all seasons
Wait till a person chimes in with some what if story about how you need all wheel drive and the world will end because you didn’t have enough ground clearance on your fwd car
Tires are truly what matter. The coefficient of friction between your tire and the road is the most important thing. AWD does help with acceleration and hills but true winter tires are your best bet
I just do awd and winter tires
That’s what I’d do too but I think the winter tires are more important
Definitely agree
I heard Toyota with over 100,000km is just their break in period.
Still smells new
You won’t be disappointed, I have a 2015 Camry and it’s a tank in the snow. I live in Maine and our winters are just as brutal and I’ve never had an issue. Toyota’s FWD cars handle the elements really well if they’re paired up with good tires
Oh bud I live just over in New Brunswick eh
Oooo where in NB? I grew up in Calais right across from St. Stephen, a lot of family and close friends live over there
I’m in Fredericton. We’ve never been to Maine and planning to take a weekend trip in the summer. Anywhere you’d recommend if you only have 2 days in Maine?
What year is the rav4? I got a 2013 corolla as my first vehicle at 15 and just now sold it at 23. It had 206k miles on it and never had a single issue. Only did routine maintenence and a few cosmetic upgrades. Hoping to get the same amount of time out of my rav4!
The rav4 is a 2014 with just 111,000km on it
