Hi folks - long time lurker first time poster. Thinking about ideas for Xmas to give my wife and I’m inclined towards a driving experience and could use your help - what would you chose if you could take one for 6 laps at a track? (Toronto Motorsports park). The most exciting thing I’ve ever driven is probably my 79 Vette so I’m a complete noob when it comes to these. I’m leaning towards one of the Porsches so I hope it’s ok to post here
Appreciate your input!
I heard mclarens break down a lot. I’d prefer to experience that over ownership. I’d prob still go with the Ferrari evo tho
I love my Porsches but this is a no brainer pick for the challenge evo.
992 GT3 and Huracan EVO for me.
Is this for the Bowmanville track?
Regardless I did one these this past summer, the GT RS was amazing!!! Although next time I’ll go with the McLaren.
The Beetle
My friend and I did Dream Racing in Vegas. The owner pulled us aside and gave us some great advice. He said basically all the exotics were fun and we would have a good time. However, the cup/race cars are an entirely different breed and if you really want to get the best experience of speed and performance, the cup cars are a different breed. He was 100% correct. Go with the 458, it will be one of the greatest experiences of your life.
I wouldn’t choose the Porsche there.
458 Challenge (Evo) then the RS
The only car you should be considering is the 458 Challenge. Not even a question.
Purchase one, and they will likely offer 50% off of other rides once people arrive and adrenaline is flowing.
If the non-RS is a stick then I’d pick that. If the 458 is a stick then I’d pick that. If every car on the list is automatic I’d pick the McLaren.
lol, first time driving it you’re not going to see much difference between the two.
The Porsche 458 Challenge Evo
991 GT3 RS, not because I am biased but because I think while the Challenge cars are going to be more…visceral they’ll be also over the top and brutal for a “fun” experience. Especially for somebody who isn’t used to it. A 991 GT3 RS is plenty hardcore for 90% of people. So I measure differently I think. Most regular people (even people who enjoy cars) will leave a challenge car going “This is too loud, this is too hard, this is just unpleasant.” That’s a type of car you work/built up towards. My two cents at least.
Did this very same experience 2 years ago and chose the Super Trofeo! A lot of fun but a very small track and you won’t be able to really push any of the cars there so best to go as big and crazy as you can as you never know if you’ll have another chance to drive those sort of cars.
